On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration, I would like to welcome you
to Wellington University, a life-long learning community like no other. This is
more than a motto here at Wellington University; it is a commitment our faculty,
staff and administration work tirelessly to innovate, motivate and prepare our
learners for the challenges of the 21st Century with the best-in-practice tools
for meaningful solutions at the local, national and global level.
During the
2013 State of the Union address President Obama spoke about his new “College
Scorecard” system. He said that it was based on the simple criterion of going
“where you can get the most for your educational buck.” To quote him further,
“It’s a simple fact: the more education you have, the more likely you are to
have a job.” The President’s comments highlight the importance of a high quality
education at an affordable price, which is the cornerstone of our focus at
Wellington University.
It is clear that the landscape of higher education is
changing quickly and Wellington University is determined to accomplish our goal
of meeting the significant and important challenges of providing high quality
education at an affordable cost. Our philosophy of higher education is simple.
It ought to be of the highest quality; it must be affordable and equip our
students with the 21st Century Skills necessary for success in real world of
work.
